Me running with the Hawks
Mummy entered me in a competition to run through the banner with my favourite AFL side, the Hawthorn Hawks. When mummy found out that I had won the competition, she decide to come and see her first game of Footy live ever! She bought me a new pair of shorts to wear on the day.
On the day, we got ready and drove to Grandma’s house and caught a tram to the Telstra Dome. When the time came we went over and waiting near where the players run out. They were on the ground warming up and when they went into the change rooms get ready, I came out on to the ground to wait. That was the first time ever I got to be on the Telstra Dome.
I was feeling nervous but excited. One of the nice Hawthorn staff members helped and told me what was going to happen. Then it was time for the players to come out. Here is a video of what happened next!
Update: I was watching the video of me running through the banner again and found a video of the end of the game with Buddy kicking the winning goal:
